About

I’m a geneticist by training and an explorer by nature. In my professional life, I hunt for the tiny DNA variations that tip the balance toward rare neurological and psychiatric conditions, translating genomic noise into clear, actionable insight for clinicians and families. Beyond the profession, you’ll usually find me with a notebook or a camera, turning data and destinations into stories that make science feel human.

My own winding path through mis-diagnosis and recovery taught me that mental-health conversations must move from whispers to the front page. I speak openly about depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders and the everyday realities of living—and thriving—with them. My goal is simple: replace stigma with understanding, one candid sentence at a time.

Communication, for me, is a form of genetic recombination—taking complex ideas, splicing in empathy, and releasing something stronger into the world. That impulse fuels my travel writing too. From mapping fjords in Norway to journaling solo train rides across Eastern Europe, I look for the ways place, culture, and science braid together.

If you’re curious about cutting-edge genomics, honest mental-health dialogue, or off-the-beaten-track itineraries (often powered by too much coffee), settle in. I’m glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to swap stories.
